I genuinely loved this chapter. Learning about how M. Myriel cared for the poor by trading his mansion for the small hospital for the sick, his household expenses are actually wasted for the need and same goes for his carriage and circuit expensed, just wasted on orphanages and charities. Sad how many assumed that he was just wasting money for himself and wanted to cutoff his check when they didn't know the kindness he held for others.
